Away from the tourist hurly-burly, this beautiful area offers visitors a relaxed and peaceful stay and a view of rural Australia that visitors often do not see.  An oasis in the middle of the countryside, Segenhoe Inn is a heritage listed property and is one of the few remaining colonial properties in Australia. Purpose built as an inn in 1837 by Thomas Potter Macqueen on the estate named Segenhoe after Segenhoe Manor where he was born in Bedfordshire,in 1791. Segenhoe would have seen many horse drawn carriages and coaches accommodating visitors on long and dusty journeys.

The Bed and Breakfast offers 9 beautifully decorated rooms, all different, with a choice of single, double, queen and king beds  and is well suited to romantics and groups of friends or family who wish to make the Inn theirs for a night or weekend.  Rooms such as the Safari Room, the Governor’s Pleasure , the Mrs. Macqueen, the Madam Ramus, the Hunter Blue, the Peter Macintyre and the Free Settler, the Upstairs Maids and The Convicts Quarters all reflect part of the fascinating  past history of this fabulous property.

Once settled in, relax in the spacious and comfortable guest living room, fantasize in the formal parlour, in winter in the glow of a cosy fire, meander about the manicured gardens, have a cocktail at the bar or take "high tea" in the silver service dining room.  Added attractions include the Designer Fashion & Accessory and Gift Galleries attached and available to guests at any time of the day or night, and the ever popular “Verandah Tea and Coffee Shoppe” serving the best beverages in the district and a range of tasty morsels including Devonshire Tea.

Partake of  fine food and wine in the much applauded dining room dressed with antique silver and crystal and fine porcelain and starched while linen.

Every need is catered for, including robes and slippers in your room with refreshments available 24 hours a day.  Reverse cycle air conditioning for your comfort and a number of wood burning fires add to the ambience. Wake refreshed and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast in the white linen silver service dining room before setting off to explore the district.
